When you use OBS MP, the global sources continue to run whether you disable the preview or not.

Half the time I don't even notice the scene change until my chat is telling me I'm on the wrong scene.ĥ) Preview mode sucks in OBS MP. I tested this afterwards because originally, I thought I had fucked up my hotkeys. I didn't have problems when using these hotkeys, but when I start playing again, let's say I press CTRL to will change to my other scene (which doesn't show any gameplay, by the way). I have hotkeys configured (CTRL+F1 and CTRL+F4 to name 2) to change scenes when I need to do this.

Rust is a game where sometimes, I need to enter sensitive information (like a code lock for my base). Everything was configured properly - I checked three times, as I usually do.Ĥ) Hotkeys are fucked up. I changed back to OBS regular and they worked fine. I was notified the next day that "TwitchAlerts was having problems the night before and they were now fixed" so I thought it was resolved. I originally thought this was TwitchAlerts having problems, but a test from their website worked. They were working fine, then just stopped. Regular OBS was.ģ) TwitchAlerts follower notifications just plain stopped working. Call me stupid for doing it, but OBS MP should be stupid proof. In my 3 weeks of OBS MP, I accidentally moved my TwitchAlerts follower/donor notification across the screen three times and then needed to move this back while live. In my 8 months of using OBS, I never ever accidentally moved anything during a stream.

Sounds like it might not be a big deal, but when I'm playing a game with sensitive information (see below, code locks), I don't want that shit showing up for all to see, nor should it show up at all.it never did in regular OBS.Ģ) There's no way to shut off the stupid editing feature. The only way to fix this is to close the game, remove the source, re-add the source, and load the game up again. For example, if Rust crashes and I reload Rust, I will see my FPS counter in the top right and Steam if I open the overlay. This is all from memory, since I stopped using OBS MP a few weeks ago due to how badly it affected my stream:ġ) If I reload a game, sometimes OBS MP will capture overlays. I understand it's free, but so is regular OBS, and I'd rather pay for reliability. After using it for 3 weeks and fucking hating it, there were still no fixes or updates for anything. Any developer currently working on it should be able to use it once and notice all of what regular OBS does better, and the issues that OBS MP has. It's plagued with problems and I didn't want to deal with it.
